Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I can’t sing. A friend of ours, ( sings in a band etc) maintained anyone can sing despite me saying I couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket. Pestered me so much I gave in when she said she would sing along with me, she soon changed her mind. lol
I can’t sing but I think I can, especially after a few drinks. My karaoke experiences are Don’t let the sun go down on me (I was George Michael my friend was Elton John as we made it the live version 😂), Valerie (obvs) on my dils hen do, and Waterloo- again a duo with my pal. Although I was awful I really enjoyed it tbh

A friend of mine who is an actor/ singer also says anyone can be taught to sing. He always quotes Rex Harrison in My Fair Lady. I beg to differ . I sound like a strangled cat.

Good morning. What was supposed be a chill out day has been a bit stressful and frustrating so far. At about 10..30 last night I got a notification that there had been a transaction for Amazon Music on my credit card. £10. This was absolutely definitely not me. I know fraudsters often try a small transaction to see if it goes through and then do bigger ones if they are successful. I froze my card so all is OK. Here's the frustrating bit. This morning I looked up how to contact the card provider. They were open. I could choose webchat or phone. I chose webchat. Went through all the security, got through to a real person, explained what happened and was eventually told to ring. customer services. I'm not happy by now but do as I'm told. So I ring up, go through all the security again and speak to somebody who listens to my story and then asks me to go on webchat to report this. Aaaarrrghhh!!! I explained that I had already done this and was told to call. The alternative was wait until Wednesday when somebody could help me by phone. I've given up. My card is OK. I have no intention of unfreezing it so I'll wait until Wednesday.
