Good morning everybody. I think we can safely say that Don Carlo is still an Evertonian. I can almost forgive him leaving us if he hands Klopp nights like that every now and again.
It's gone a bit chilly here today, starting to get windy again. However my 6.30am trips to take Mr F to work are coinciding with some utterly glorious sunrises. Unfortunately I've got nowhere to stop on the journey to take pics otherwise I would share them with you.
Today is Ash Wednesday. This is the day that always makes me think of my late Mum. She would ring me on this day every year, chat for a while and then ask 'What are you having for tea tonight?' God forbid that I should ever have mentioned a meat product!!

However some things are so ingrained in your psyche that I still feel that I might be struck by lightning should I eat meat on Ash Wednesday. So tonight's tea is salmon risotto.
I'm meeting up with one of my workmates for a coffee ( and probably cake) soon. Looking forward to it. There's a lovely little tea shop in Sedgefield that we go to. Sedgefield is really nice and well worth a visit if you ever pass by this way - a proper village, loads of old fashioned pubs including The Dun Cow where Tony Blair took George W Bush for lunch. One of my then workmates took the day off to be there when that happened. He grew up in Sedgefield and said that whoever would have thought that a US President and a British Prime Minister would have lunch in the village in the north east of England where he came from. he wanted to be part of a historic day. Nice pub but also frequented by the South Durham Hunt so I prefer not to spend my money there.
Have a lovely day all. x
