Or was it Mo Mowlam..?

Strikes are very much in fashion at the minute!Morning all, what a lovely one it is too. Great pics as always @Sassy Colombian, Sofia is sure to flourish at her new school. Not much planned for the bank holiday weekend. Am starting to worry that our trip to Edinburgh may not happen as ASLEF have announced strikes for the day we are planning to travel. The strikes are on companies other than LNER at the moment so I’m hoping it stays that way. Whether we will be able to get past piles of rubbish when we arrive is another matter, if they haven’t resolved the bin strike by then. lol Have a great day all. ?
How lovely. She was an amazing woman. Somebody to admire.Met Mo several times, a really lovely woman.
Her contribution to NI was immense and goes unrecognised.
In my professional capacity, had a working meeting with her. She ordered a Thai takeout, took her wig off and rested her feet on another seat.
I have led a Blessed life to meet people like Mo.
I'd never been active on a site before here so it took me a while to settle down and read it correctly, during that time I found some posters quite venomous especially the wannabe cliquesters for want of a better word.Feel the same way, even when I have gotten a lot of abuse out of some of posters, I still don't have anyone in ignored. But there is lots of pot stirrers and looney tunes at this forum for sure lol
What you don't know won't hurt you.Now I’m very curious about what is that you do, AT. I don’t think you have ever told us.
Thanks @Gwladysover I sure hope she flourish, middle school can be a challenging time for kids as they are transitioning to puberty, but thankfully some of her good friends will be with her. At her new school since COVID began they have implemented safe social pods so she won’t be interacting with all 6th grade students but only with those within her pod. Some of her friends are in a different pod but at least a couple and her best friend ended with her.Morning all, what a lovely one it is too. You seen any pics of Edinburgh recently? they have a bin strike on there at the moment and it's become so bad they are talking about the city need to be decontaminated. Thanks @Gwladysover I sure hope she flourish, middle school can be a challenging time for kids as they are transitioning to puberty, but thankfully some of her good friends will be with her. I hope the strikers end soon so you can make your trip to Edinburgh and post lots of pics ?
Woo-hoo that’s a bit of money in bet earnings, good on you and Mr. F. This money will be nice to use towards your holidays, but maybe your luck has even more results for you so get the lottery too, you never know if it will be your turn. Talking about lottery, you all may remember a few weeks ago the lottery here had topped $1.34 billion but after weeks no one has come forward to claim the second-largest jackpot in the history of the game, so one lucky person may not be yet aware of their good luck.Good morning folks. Yesterday got better and better. We managed 7 winners from 8 races. Mr F edged the winners 4-3 but I won more money. We're not big hitters at all but our £2 and £3 bets turned into a £140 profit. Excellent day. In addition Mr F does a footie accumulator every week with three of his workmates, that came up yesterday so they've won £160 between them. Maybe we should do the lottery this week! All our winnings are going towards euros for the forthcoming holiday.
Love your pics @Sassy Colombian. Sofia will love middle school.
@Gwladysover it is a sad sign of the times when people are queueing for food.
Not much planned today. Doing overtime but I need a day of rest! We walked miles yesterday. This followed 4 gym sessions in 3 days! My legs are crying. I have calves like a prop forward for the All Blacks!
Catch up later folks. Enjoy your day x
Some of them are the ones that have been venomous to me and have tried to get me banned. When I first joined the forum I would confront them, but now I just ignore their comments without having them on ignored.I'd never been active on a site before here so it took me a while to settle down and read it correctly, during that time I found some posters quite venomous especially the wannabe cliquesters for want of a better word.
Wow, I had not seen pics. That looks terrible. How long have the trash collectors being on strike and why isn’t the government doing something to settle the issue? You seen any pics of Edinburgh recently? they have a bin strike on there at the moment and it's become so bad they are talking about the city need to be decontaminated.

I think it's been about a week now, it's stops sometime this week, it was 12 days in total.Wow, I had not seen pics. That looks terrible. How long have the trash collectors being on strike and why isn’t the government doing something to settle the issue?
Think that's the way to go Sass. Just don't engage them. They'll soon get bored and find other targets. In my experience people like that are looking for a reaction from you, it's part of the sport to them. Some of them are the ones that have been venomous to me and have tried to get me banned. It took me a bit to learn that lesson but it is all about living and learning, isn’t it. Now days I feel that I’m in a better position because of the roughens I had to endure when I first joined GOT and was naive some posters.Think that's the way to go Sass. Just don't engage them.
