From a mate

Me, I’m still buzzing on county Rd after last night, copied this of me mate who travels with us all around the country, whatever the weather, this is our parade ???

To outsiders mate the celebrations may seem OTT......what you've gotta understand is how proud we are of being the longest serving top flight club in England......69 years in this spell alone......... arguably the most loyal fans in premier league considering the [Poor language removed] we have to watch week in week out.......in the shadow of one of the most successful teams in the world winning trophy after trophy.......Evertonian's are born and not manufactured........we've been facing the threat of relegation all season......that match was unbelievable last night....2 nil down at half time staring relegation in the face ?.......about 8 weeks ago fans got together and decided our players weren't good enough and we were certainly getting relegated.....we as a fanbase decided the only option we had was to raise our 'game' and get behind the team like never before........greeting the team bus before every game......blue smoke...flares.....flags etc etc raise the volume etc etc home and away and it worked......it was the fans who got us over the line.....that's what you saw last nite......raw passion, emotion and elation .....in all my life of following Everton (I'm almost 58) I've never seen support like it.......hope this explains it a bit to you ?.......... Everton really are the People's club in the City of Liverpool....... nil satis nisi optimum since 1878........ up the fkn toffees
Superb stuff

Indeed and for me it wasn’t just Everton, it was Colombia tough season too and the disappointment of them not qualifying to the WC, so yesterday’s win by Everton was super sweet. I’m hopeful once we regroup next season we will have an improved team ready to put up a good fight.
I hope that you have a great time at the wedding SC.

Knowing that you like strange coincidences , my 2nd team is Sparta Rotterdam in Holland ( my best mates team.and I usually try to get to a couple of games a season.)
They are a bit of a yoyo club , a Norwich if you like.
This season they were also struggling and like Everton cut adrift but managed to win their last 3 games to stay up too.

Morning all.

Still coming to terms with the 2nd miracle of Goodison but the hard work in terms of recruitment to make sure thatwe aren't in this position again surely starts now.
I think we will see a big churn of players. Our financials are frightening and think we will see a lot of big earners moved on and replaced by cheaper younger players.
I can't see Richy staying and suspect that a decent offer for Pickford or DCL seems them leave too.

Anyway back to a ton of gardening after the holiday which starts in earnest today.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Morning all, daughter turned 40 Wednesday so along with the miracle of Goodison it has been a week of celebrations for the Gwladys family. I visited my friend yesterday and Z-Cars was playing for me on Alexa as I went in the door. lol What’s all this about legal action from Burnley and Leeds? Should we be worried? I feel every time something good happens for us something comes along to spoil it. Anyway enough of that, enjoy the wedding @Sassy Colombian, enjoy the holiday @Barnfred 55 , pleased to see bathroom is progressing @Terrarian and that you had a good holiday @jazzy, enjoy the gardening. Have a great weekend everyone ?

I’m working this morning and letting out the schools 5G pitch to an under 10’s footy team.
Once practice started, a lad came onto the side of the pitch with his dad to just watch.
All the parents went to speak to him.
He’s injured and can’t play but wanted to still be involved with his teammates.
Thought that was boss you know.

Morning my lovelies. Last night was amazing. 70 year old David Coverdale put people half his age to shame with the amount of energy he expended. Here's a few pics and one especially for those who like the ladies - one of Whitesnake's guitarists.

Didn't know you were a teen mom G. If you lived in the US you could have become a TV star.lol

I think a lot of this legal action stuff is just paper talk. They may both write to the Premier league about it but I doubt it will go any further than that, and even if it did, by the time it got around to court we'll probably be well into next season anyway. And if they did have a case, surely we would have an equal case against the Premier League, The FA and the Referees Association for the points we have lost this season doe to ridiculous refereeing decisions.

Looking forward to the holiday. The weather forecast for the beginning of the week doesn't look too great but I'm sure we'll get some nice weather at some stage. I'm only packing summer stuff anyway and will be decked out in shorts the whole week whatever the weather. Leaving at 6.15 tomorrow morning and that's the middle of the night for me. Have to get to bed early tonight.

I hope they do take us to court G because the FFP or P&S rules will be shown to be as unfair and un-competitive as it gets. I wish someone would challenge them in a court of law.

Our owner can afford what we have spent, why should we be punished, in isolation fair enough but when Chelsea and Man City were able to get a leg up before it was shutdown on everyone else, stinks of corruption and anti-competition.
