we have to play them twice no matter so its no big deal.
Yep pisses me off every season. It wouldn't bother me if it wasn't so blatently obviously fixed. You flip the coin 9 times and it's highly, HIGHLY unlikely you'll get the same side come up 9 times in a row.
Guys is this really a issue? I'm gonna be honest, it makes us sound bitter and looking for excuses on why we lose the derbies.
IS THE CORRECT ANSWER!
we could play them on Jericho lane and still give up.
Of course it matters. All teams, never mind Everton, aren't into full swing early in the season, so home advantage is neutralised.
No matter where the impetus for the rigged fixture comes from it's outrageous that we have had to play the first Derby nine times in a row at Goodison.
Dave, apologies, but you're talking shabite.
Why is it? It's common sense. The form we hit in the latter part of the season and with home advantage would, you'd have to think, yeilded different results even for this usually bottling Derby team.
If the club are sacrificing that for some upfront money from Sky or wherever for a guaranteed live match then that speaks vlumes for those running this club.

We ask for it to be at home first.
Each club is given one 'preference' every year prior to the fixtureometer doing its thang. We always ask for home derby first. The ****e ask not to play on 15 April. Forest ask to avoid some huge local fayre or something like that.
Both are picked up by Sky anyway regardless of the first one being at Goodison
