Merseyside derby - a perfect ten?

Seriously, can someone actually provide some proof that Everton ask for the derby to be at home first, and then some proof that the FA allow it?

Sure, in some circumstances clubs can ask not to play on specific dates for good reasons.

But until i see some proof other than whats said on a mesageboard i don't believe the Fa will allow us to always play the Goodison derby first. And if they did surely the club would say.

Sure, its a weird concidence which while could be random luck of the draw seems unlikely.

And its ****e referees and ****e performances that mean we've only won a handful of derbies in 10 years, not because of when they are played.

We ask for it to be at home first.

Each club is given one 'preference' every year prior to the fixtureometer doing its thang. We always ask for home derby first. The ****e ask not to play on 15 April. Forest ask to avoid some huge local fayre or something like that.

what happens in the case of two clubs asking for the same preference? what if liverpool wanted the 1st derby at home?i think derby venues should not be made a preference if this is the case, they should be alternating every season, its boring that we can guess pretty much out fixtures every season, 1st home game vs a promoted side, 1st derby at home in sept, 2nd away in feb etc. it should be mixed up every year

Poor excuse for bad results in derby games, don`t think it really matters where we play first. Strange though unless we ask for it.

Yeah, what benefit would it be to Everton to have the Goodison derby first? I don't see why the club would choose to have it that way.

As said the Goodison derby is always a 12:30 (even 12 at one point) kick off meaning the atmosphere's not as good as it could be. The Anfield one always seems to be either 4 or a night game.

Listen were gettin the sh1te at home 1st, i'm not that bothered, as long as were at home boxing day and last day of the season i don't care.

I would hate another New Years Day West Brom 12pm kick off again

Mate don't worry about it, no one would care if it was this way against one of the other mid table clubs so why should the RS be any different?

It HAS been posted before, it was in the Guardian i believe.

In that case someone will be able to link it then.

Until then, as you remember it did it actually have proof that the FA allow us to play at Goodison forst or was it just like here and people suggesting thats what happens in order to explain 9 home derbies first in a row?

It was a direct statement that Everton request the derby first. I'm sure somebody could link it, i've actually been trying to find the thread.
