Think all these Sterling calls are a bit premature. He's only had 3 PL games and hasn't looked any more than 'good' to me. Based on his previous record I'd have Mirallas over the master impregnator.

How are you supposed to know what the Liverpool players are like? Do people actually watch them when they're on the tele?? Even during a derby apart from 3 or 4 of them I don't know who any of them are when they're on the ball.
 
Another thing looking at peoples posts just now, Sahin, Lambert Taylor, Kelly, Jones, Sterling? Eh? Who the **** are these people? I've never ever heard of them never mind have a clue if they're any good. In fact why would anyone actually want to spend time looking at their players to see if they're an good? Who do they play for? Are half Tranmere players? Or are some our rezzies coming through or something?

yeah but osman and gerrard don't play RM all that often. mirallas and naismith on the other hand play there more often and so far in their career have looked better than those two in that position

So if an Evertonian doesn't follow Liverpool and watch them on the tele they're an idiot? If Liverpool are on the tele I turnover. If they're a headline in the paper I dont look at it. I haven't done for years. Why the hell would I watch them? I cant even be bothrered seeing them on MOTD I fast forward. I cant think of anything more crap to do with my time than to actually watch them, take notice of some random player and then study them to see if he's any good!

Johnson vs Hibbert/Neville/Coleman - no contest. Johnson is one of the best right backs in the PL.
Skrtel vs Heitinga/Jagielka - pretty even. Can't really decide.

Agger vs Distin - I'd take Agger. One of the best and most composed ball playing CBs around.

Enrique vs Baines - I'd take Baines even though I don't rate Baines defensively. Great delivery though. Enrique started off superbly but his form has been very dodgey lately.

Lucas vs Gibson - Lucas, one of the best DMs in the EPL.

Allen vs Fellaini - pretty even if you ask me, Allen is a superb little player, as is Fellaini on his day.

Gerrard vs Osman - Gerrard, no contest.

Suarez vs Mirallas - Suarez, no contest.

Jelavic vs Borini - Jelavic.

Sahin vs Pienaar - can't really compare as both play different positions, although if I had to chose one I'd take sahin on footballing ability.

If I had to make an 11 from the two teams:

A good time to bump this thread with the derby fast approaching. Will be interesting to see what people think due to Everton's start to the season and Liverpool's mediocre start. Let's get the debate going people :)
