2025/26 Merlin Röhl

Give the lad a chance! Lots of foreign players take time to adapt to the pace & physicality of the EPL.

I think he’s up to the pace and physicality though tbh (ok he can learn to make decisions quicker) - but his passing is terrible, and I think that’s always going to be a problem.

See also Alcaraz.

I thought he was pretty capable as right back against forest would have been worth giving him another opportunity, underwhelming performance yesterday but I don't think he was atrocious as some people made out. Still needs some time to adapt to the league and from his injuries
Shoved out on the right too.

He’s not a wide midfielder, doesn’t look like a right back and he’s not a 10. Hard to judge him when he’s never played in his actual position.

His position as Moyes says is, anywhere.

We were doing all out defending against Forest, which he did well at. I think our issue is more the attacking side of the Right Back slot at the moment. If his passing is not his best attribute, it'll just be like playing O'Brien there. We just need to buy a decent starting RB and play others in their more natural position.
