2025/26 Merlin Röhl

I still can't get over that cross which they countered and scored the 4th goal.

It was like his left foot was Dwight Mcneils right foot and absolutely shat its pants and done a little Ossie pea roller straight to their player. Maybe when he had his hernia op he had all working left leg muscles removed which gives him the power of an 8 month old baby with his left peg.

I wouldn't rush to judge Rohl or Dibling or Aznou.

A decent manager with coaching ability would get the best out of them and find them the right position.

Rohl must wonder what's expected of him in this team.

He's new to the PL and it's helter skelter in the middle of the pitch. He needs times to adapt.

Last few appearances have been coming on holding mid, starting number 10, moving to right back, coming on right wing.

Don’t think any of them are even his proper position which he himself said was more of a box to box midfielder.

Exactly. New country, new league and a new position on the pitch every week. Add to that his hernia injury and recovery: how do people expect an oven ready CM?

As bad as that is, that plays no part in the receiving, controling, and passing of a ball.

He's an athlete on a football pitch.

I do seriously hope i'm wrong.

( From what i have seen though, i just can't see it..

Positives - strong runner with the ball.

Negatives - everything else
Has been the case literally his whole career. Not just saying in hindsight, was posting saying this when we bought him. It's who he's always been and the club must have known this. Still just do not understand the purchase at all - holding out hope they somehow look like geniuses in a year's time

I remember you saying this when we were about to sign him. Had you watched him a few times ( like genuinely watched him enough to form the opinion ) so not based off stats but seen a few of his games. He's exactly doing what you said he would (run around but is proper poor with the ball at his feet )

I watched the whole u21's tournament, he was that anonymous that I didn't even know who we were signing when we bought him..
