It sounds like it was all planned rather than a reaction to a new problem.
He was already a huge gamble purely in terms of his quality as a player. Adding in the extra gamble over this fitness was...an interesting choice.

He had the op 2 weeks ago though. So it will be 4 weeks by forest.
why are we both following EFC I still predict DM will struggle to keep his job after this transfer window results will be vital ....& hard games are coming up- his signings Rhol a croc on loan & no full backs its his fault imo .
Forest will be 26 days after the operation, that would be a very, very quick recovery from a hernia op. I'd guess that Moyes meant more along the lines of 'when Gana goes in December' rather than 'as soon as we get into December'. It's worth remembering the lad hasn't started a game of football for 9 months at this point, I can't imagine that he's going to come straight back from an operation and be ready to go.
