I think Dharma meant the players are on their mobiles a lot in these pictures Eggs
…ah I see. Seems a part of life these days, especially in that generation.

It would send a message.Should just cancel the loan at this point.
Is this ChatGTP?We could move Merlin on:
Pro's
- avoid fee
- injury prone player
- barely figured all season
- heard on this forum he left for surgery in Germany without clarity with EFC around leave/ treatment. May not be true. if true, it wreaks.
- cements Tim and Gana as replacements for, KDH/ Garner
- squad opportunity for Harrison and others, wake up call for Dibling etc
Cons:
- we haven't seen a 'great' Merlin Rohl, which is a shame if he goes on to be that.
6-1 to the pro's. Which means Moyes will keep him to avoid further scrutiny of last summers crappy business, apart from KDH.
Yeah, don't understand the negativity either.….i like this lad, could turn out to be a very good signing.
We've seen too many players feature sporadically for Everton having signed for good money. It's pointless having a player like this, as a manager you'd be too worried to find a place for them in the team because you know as soon as you start relying on them they get injured. That makes for a tricky situation for both manager and player. I suppose if he's happy coming off the bench for 20 minutes at a time there's a place for him, as modern football means most managers change 5 players a match these days.Yeah, don't understand the negativity either.
He has looked decent in the limited opportunities we've seen so far.
The only thing that's a worry is the injuries.

Interesting how DCL has blossomed away from EFC, too. No knocks or mystery long term hamstring stuff, blah.Thats the point, the injuries.
£2mil+ loan fee and then an £18mil obligation for a clearly injury prone player.
I'm lost why we'd see that as a good deal especially the amount of times over the years weve heard Moyes talk about young players getting to 50 appearances in the top flight.
Even if he went on a run of starting games, who will count on him as he'll likely get injured again.
Precisely why no one came in with bids for DCL
