It’s so odd isn’t it. Best game, shows promise and then nothing. Not like Gana is pulling up trees.
Same can be said for Patterson. Had a couple of clean sheets and decent performances but moyes preferred to take garner(though a very able FB) out of our midfield where he's been player of the season.

Read a bit of Everton social media today ( which I don't usually do ) and was astonished at the number of blues giving Moyes a pass for last night and thinking that he's still doing a fantastic job and we should be grateful to have him given that we have been battling relegation for the last few seasons.
Honestly, I'm baffled . He HAS done a good job , absolutely no doubt but shoehorning favourites into the team , selecting players out of position when we have specialists on the bench and setting up so negatively is doing my head in.
The league is so poor this season that we had a genuine chance of Europe. I'm afraid, particularly looking at our run in that that is a very distant possibility now.

There’s another you can add, Alcaraz. As soon as Moyes got here, Alcaraz starred away at Palace scoring and assisting to help us win. He was then immediately benched that weekend and wasn’t seen again. Rohl excellent against Villa, immediately dropped the following game. Patterson gets a run of games, performs well, more importantly the team plays well and looks more balanced, then he’s inexplicably dropped again and not been seen since.
Moyes is infuriating. What happened to play well and keep the shirt?
The football is negative, turgid, and it’s a hard watch. Barry and Beto get a lot of stick, but it doesn’t matter what striker we have, they’ll be extremely isolated up top and feed off scraps. Signing another ie Delap or similar, will make ZERO difference while this manager is in charge.
The one thing Moyes CAN do though, is grind out some results and a few 1-0 wins. He’s gotten us in to a much healthier position than we’ve been in for years so he’ll have credit in the bank.
But that isn’t going to be enough moving forward. He should have no say in a further summer rebuild that’s for sure.

Just heard a similar comment in a post match reaction, that Rohl is a fully fledged Everton player next season so it’s bizarre seemingly freezing him out. I agree and I’d play him way more. Looks rusty at times, but is rapid and looks a modern PL player. Has something about him.
But actually no guarantees at all he’s here next year. We have an obligation to buy, but if Moyes has a say and doesn’t fancy him, we will just broker a deal with another club (Rohl’s camp are happy with) and bounce him straight on so we will own him for 1 second.
Moyes kept mentioning how impressed they were in his early training sessions. Something very very odd going on.
May send him out on loan to PNE?

Dominates a top side, but not ready. He'll be ready when he's 32 by Moyes standards.
Could it be that there actually are conditions to the permanent deal and Moyes doesn't fancy him, thus isn't going to trigger the conditions?
