Seems like a genuine lad. Given he’s coming off injury and has only started the past few, I’m pleased he’s improving each match. We’ve been depleted, he’s been asked to step up, and he’s showing that he’s learning from mistakes and making the necessary adjustments. Keep going, Merlin.

Quite a few players coming through like that now, Ben White obviously another. I think the days of football crazy youngsters who are 24/7 with it have changed, more and more do just happen to have it as a skill and see it as a job but have other interests they hold equal interest in.
