He won't displace Baines at LB so why not play him LW?

Man Utd asking price for Memphis Depay proving prohibitive to would be suitors

Ronald Koeman, the Everton manager, is interested in taking Depay to Goodison Park as a replacement for winger Yannick Bolasie, who could be out until next year with a knee injury.

But with Koeman prioritising the purchase of another United player, Morgan Schneiderlin, for whom they are expected to make an improved offer this week after having a £19 million bid rejected, Everton would prefer a loan arrangement regarding Depay.

Loan with a view to buy would suit us down to the ground, which is exactly why United won't agree to it. Wouldn't give them anywhere near what they paid as he's been largely pants in the Prem, rather gamble on someone else.

MG, I know you're from the Wirral and they can sometimes struggle with comprehension but that is what the boy Ducker has written.

Hes implying we are skint, hes using Davek as his source, if the boy Deeps wasnt a gamble we would hand the folding over straight off the bat, but the fella is slightly mental, so yano.

I just dont like his implications C.

I think we are doing the right thing and waiting until the end of the window when Utd may change their minds - neither Depay or Utd benefit from him staying there until the summer, so the later it gets, the better chance we (or someone else) have of getting him cheap or on loan with a view to buy.
