I am not joining in and picking a side, here, but I think he was referencing the United supporters who were all too happy to get shut of Mata over the break, and now he is rejuvenated under Mourinho.

Therefore, United fans know shazbat about footy, therefore shouldn't be relied on as an authority as to whether Depay is any good or not.

I want him to join solely because his name is 'Memphis'.

That + Mourinho sold him to United in the first place as well of course as offloading others like De Bruyne.

If he isn't good enough for them he's not good enough for us. We never learn

Steven Pienaar was not good enough for Dortmund but was brilliant for us in spells. Just cos Depay has struggled to fit into one Premier League club doesn't mean he'd struggle at Goodison.

Do they?

Have you watched Depay play for them? He looks woefully out of place in this league and I very much doubt he will improve on what we have bar pace

Yes, they do.

And yes, I have.

I'm not convinced on his aptitude either, but the lad has an abundance of talent. If Koeman wants him and reckons he can get the best out of him then he'd be a huge improvement for that left side, considering we have four right wingers (the best of which will be off to ACON for a month in January)

i dont think ive seen you post anything positive in the 3yrs ive been on this forum.

i had also assumed using the above evidence that you hate everything and everyone

That's nonsense tbh. Maybe you could refer to all the positive things that I have been negative towards? If I've been doing it non-stop for three years then there should be a massive list of them? I welcomed Moshiri, certainly more than those yanks that everyone was about to bend over for, and I welcome the news that a large part of our debt has been settled. Your list will probably involve me disagreeing about how good the likes of McCarthy and Martinez are!

Some players ie depay star in leagues of lower quality at a younger age but can't make the step up to tougher leagues. That's not to say he won't still improve as he is still young but I'm not sure he is capable of being someone who will help us make the top four
