Memories of when we got relegated in a friendly

And so it came to be remembered as the Great Benitez War of 2022.

Early casualties brothers @orly and @Moomin only gave a taste of what was to come.

The signing of the one they call " the Longstaff " proved to be the catalyst, with Blue on blue casualties piling up, red banners everywhere and all of the while the Kopite multi`s continued drip feed their poison in.

There is is only one that can save us, you`re our one and only hope Mr @sniderman

I'm going to try and add some balance. I think folk are right to urge caution after 3 games.

Anyone else remember Wolves winning their first 2 games and drawing the third (even briefly going top) before getting relegated? After three games, of course, bravado from Mick Mccarthy and their fans was a bit high. Doh. The season included an embarrassing home smashing by their local rivals.

Let's not be Wolves, eh folks?

Moomin :(

I remember that thread. I couldn’t be arsed watching the game because friendly matches are boring fitness exercises but I couldn’t believe the levels of fume going on, madness how people wrote off this season a week before it began!

Never understand why people watch them so intently. Half the players are still hungover from their holidays and can’t be arsed.
