To be fair M'Baye Niang sounds a bit like "mmmm gay wang", so I think you're okay kids.

Now carry on spooning and move the webcam to the left a little cheers.

Got carried away, I apologise. Although halfway through I did mention Niang up front.

Seriously though, I've said from the start and stick to it: I'd love us to sign this lad, it's a risk, but one worth taking.

BBC world news saying we've opened discussions with Caen.

Everton have reportedly moved into pole position in the race to sign Caen forward M’Baye Niang, despite strong interest from Arsenal and AC Milan. The 17-year-old is one of the rising stars of French football and attracted the attention of some of Europe’s biggest clubs with his performances last season, despite the campaign ending with Caen being relegated. M’Baye Niang is a transfer target for both Everton and Arsenal (AFP/Getty Images) Everton boss David Moyes is one of the youngster’s biggest fans and invited him to join the Toffees for a trial last week, reports Ouest France. The Merseyside club, who have money to spend following the sale of Jack Rodwell to Manchester City, are yet to make a formal offer for Niang. However, they have apparently opened negotiations with Caen president Jean-Francois Fortin about a potential transfer. Arsenal made a bid for Niang last month after the teenager impressed Arsene Wenger during a trial spell in London, but Caen turned down a £5million package. AC Milan have also failed with an attempt to land the youngster, but the Serie A club were only prepared to pay £400,000 to take him on a season-long loan with a view to a permanent move next summer. Caen value Niang at £8million but realise they may have to accept less than £7million as their negotiating position has been weakened by relegation and the player’s desire to leave.

edit - just noticed this was published yesterday - sorry if old news.

Right. Mirallas is done and dusted.

Come on, Moyes. Get this one clinched, too. Then we MIGHT be in business.....
