nobody saying he has signed or as good as signed , but he has called this one 24 hours before sky sports got hold of it . still a long way to go as sunderland and villa to name a few are interested

If he was to come to any for footballing reasons it would be by far Everton, Villa have gone down hill and Sunderland are just a pile of shi**

Watched him and Ince closely in the playoff final. Ince had far more presence and awareness, Phillips just seems to head for the corner flag. Imagine Seamus at right-back behind that, we'd have a trench down the right at Goodison!

Just posting this for those who havent seen it like...

A host of clubs are ready to make a move for Blackpool winger Matt Phillips, Sky Sports understands.

The Tangerines look to have a battle on their hands to hang on to their exciting winger as Everton, Wigan, Aston Villa, Sunderland and Reading all weigh up potential bids.

The 21-year-old had an outstanding campaign last term for Blackpool scoring seven league goals and was one of the main reasons they made it to the play-off final.

Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is desperate to keep hold of his wing stars in Phillips and team-mate Thomas Ince - but he could have a battle on his hands.

Everton are reported to be in pole position, but it is understood a number of their Premier League rivals are also very keen on landing the Scotland international.

Maybe £1.5m-2m or am I being optimistic?

No idea mate, but ive liked what ive seen from this lad. Blackpool held out well on the Adam deal, but i believe they have an interest in Buzsaky.

I think if last year has taught us anything it is that players from the lower leagues can make an impact in wider areas, Singurdson, McClean, Pilkington.

These are the type of signings we should be making! Young with huge potential and good resale value if it doesn't work. These two and the lads from Crystal Palace are the types of signings we should be making!

The good thing about this is that Naismith wont be deployed out on the right if we get Phillips, if you're going to play a striker/second striker on the wing, surely put him on the side where he can cut in and support the striker or get a goal.

The thing with us mate is that we never really sign a player who is the finished article, when you think about it always a player with more to come or been out of favour or isnt established at a good team. I think potential is all we can afford.

we Can't afford to buy the finished article though can we? Moyes has to go for up and coming talents and develop them! Lucky for us he has an astonishing record for this!
