Good job the game is played over 90 minutes, not 45. Just as Kane was taken off corners, he was taken off completely when he looked ineffective. We're dealing with Roy, not Roberto. I think there will be a few more red faces before this tournament is over. I think you'll find Roy has probably lost patience with Sterling and we'll have to endure more 'I'm a little tosspot' moments.

let be honest, regardless of the final score we were [Poor language removed], we beat a pretty horrendous wale squad in the last minute. Does not bode well for rest of tournament.

Because England didn't really offer much going forward at all for all their possession and shots.
Wales defended mostly very well, you don't get gold stars for having the ball and not testing the keeper.

LOL at this. Wales didn't get out their own half apart from Bale's crap free kick

Second half we absolutely bossed it. Lets think about France (the favorites) the other night winning in injury time against Albania, ALBANIA FFS! They we're lucky to get that win after dominating most of the game, are we going to say they will get tanked when they come up against one of the decent sides? They ARE the decent sides!

I was suggesting to other folks that while I thought Lallana was a decent enough player in terms of talent and had played quite well so far, in my mind he was lacking the speed, trickery or body strength to be a complete success at international level. But I'm told I'm wrong and Lallana has been our best player so far, which I'm just not seeing.

Thoughts?

I think you might be having that conversation with Liverpool fans.

He has done ok.

Best England player so far? The full backs have been good, Rooney as well.

I'm with you 100%

Walker has been impressive - he's the only one consistently trying to take the opposition on, make the goal-line and try and create something. Rooney's had a decent couple of games but, for me, he's still playing far too deep.

Hodgson picked Rooney in midfield and lallana up top when none of the fans wanted either and I think both have been more than worthy of their places. Not that I except anyone to give Roy any credit for that because england fans are terrible people.

The flip side is that sterling, kane and alli have all been useless. And that defense is a mess, hamsik is going to have cahill and sterling for breakfast on monday.

And Walker is an athlete but not a footballer. He can run all day but he can't actually pass.

Can't agree more on the last, been saying it for years. Fantastic pace but awful just about everything else. Who could've Ingurland picked ahead of him though?
