Match day experience

Sadly, this has been a story I have heard a few times. However, they have very few staff who are overworked.
Ground tour this week via Ticket Master parking - please not first come first served - my last one at Goodison I actually spoke to a person - sadly its sign of the times .....looking forward to it belated birthday present by my son - meeting my older brother there to accompany us ....
he is walking from lime street we are travelling from away ....

I only went once last year and I guess my experience is different from season ticket holders. I had a great time and I enjoyed the "walk-up" passed the Titanic.. I didn't mind the walk back, but it would be different if you older or unable to walk as much as it is a fair distance.. I'd still rather do the walk to & from BMD than Goodison...

The stadium was fantastic, it felt a bit rough & ready in places (stairwells etc). It was a crazy mix of high-tech and a basic stadium... I guess we just don't have un-ending amount of cash...

I had a hot-dog, I loved the blue sauce...

The atmosphere was great, it's different from Goodison... I wanted to go into the Church and look at the old programmes etc... I missed that

Genuinely it's positive

The drive takes me about 10 minutes longer but strangely less traffic coming back so it's about the same

Walk from where I park is about 5 minutes more and not as nice (meandering through the streets with lots of stop off places vs a long walk through industrial).

Found a decent regular place to eat on the night games, River and Roads Cafe, so don't bother with the food in the ground after tying it a few times as a novelty.

Views and stadium in general is excellent. There's not a bad view in the place.

Fortunately not had to have a number 2 (not a RB) at the stadium, anyone itk what type of paper is being supplied (if at all)?
For the opening game at the stadium, I was at the back end of a bug and I can only assume that someone was looking down on me that day because the toilets were pristine. I've never before had to have a Douglas Hurd at the match before and I hope I never do again, but with the bogs being used for the first time that day, I was mega lucky.

Terrible compared to Goodison game days for me, will hopefully continue to improve though. Being originally from Walton & having loads of family/friends around there its unlikely to ever top it mind.

Similar to everyone else, I haven't been able to get a regular routine going due to the terrible game times/days.

Most regular occurance has been getting into the ground early & having a pint in the Upper South concourse, cant knock them a £4. Haven't settled on a certain place after the game, the Blue House probably been the most regular, always found it easy enough for seats, decentish ale, just nightmare getting served. Brighton home gane was the only great day for me tbh, was expecting that near enough every home game😂😂

Never been pristine since

To follow up an earlier point - this playing style in addition to woeful home form give debut season a real kicking

Joking aren't you!

Im in club view and on one of the night games i remember queueing up for a pint at 7pm (kick off was 7:30pm) i had 8 people in front of me. At 7:25 i had 3 people in front of me.

Trust me the staff couldnt handle anymore customers there 😂

The vouchers cause chaos. Lottery whether the person serving knows how to work them.
