I think the £15m or so he's got saved in the bank will act as a nice cushion though. Can't be bad - he hasn't contributed positively to the club for three years yet has taken £10m out of us. He must have one hell of an agent.

As a free agent he'll get a modest (just a few 100 thou) signing on fee and around 7-10k a week in the champ or L1 even. The major drawback is most contracts are 2 yrs max so only a million or two over the next couple of years. Sad.

Holgate in a nutshell yesterday, scored a goal, must have felt a bit guilty so he gifted one back. He definitely is not in a confident mindset whatsoever and he's a liability with Keane, thankfully we shunted Godfrey on.
