Moyes was ok when he first came, he came in to save us from going down, just his ego grew over the last couple of years, Moyes will appoint his own backroom staff, and Smith's assistant Archie Knox has also left Everton.

For me when I was younger I read a good few books on everton, now I know they can be biased, but as a kid and reading the great stories of everton it was roy of the rover stuff for real in the team I supported with dixie a legend. Dvd's are good but there is nothing like immersing yourself in the history and feeling apart of it with your imagination when reading about everton. Definitely the love affair with everton was cemented when I knew even more about them. As a fan we have a bigger commitment/ investment in the club we support for our mental well-being/happiness and why we want to see it understood and respected by our manager (and chairman ffs), but I like what I hear from martinez and I believe that he respects it and wants to create something for us, him and everybody connected with everton. Managers and chairmen can leave, fans are for life and very passionate which is we there can be lots of disagreements between supporters but it is all about our everton dna and wanting the best for our club, I think martinez gets it, lets hope the players get it (fellaini) and bring everton to the heights we belong.

i can imagine bill bringing a Video version of our history over to robbie's house for them to watch it together. Robbie then stares at him, telling him it's all about DVD's these days. So they head off to the store and buy a 2nd hand Video Player.

When they sit down and put it on, bill slouches into the sofa, not looking forward to the video, but then in true mike bassett fashion, he rises up, elbows on knees as the viedo buffers and changes to a different program. Martinez then says "Oh Bill, your wife has taped bloody Changing Rooms over the top", to which bill replies, "oh no robbie, you're wrong, it's not Changing Rooms, it's ground force" as he rubs his hands together, knowing the evening just got better.

love to see him do well for us,his passion is infectious.wasn't sure at all when he was hired but his first few weeks are winning me over.not complaining about the finances and doesn't seem to want to be hearing about the "punching above weight" media rubbish.also not complaining about the fixture sheet !!!!.refreshing.

I think toward the end of Moyes reign his negativity rubbed off on everyone. Having someone so positive coming in is good for everyone.
