WHAT. ON . EARTH. ARE. YOU. SMOKING?

Alcaraz was DIRECTLY responsible for three goals. Directly his specific fault. For the others you named to have been just as bad, we would have to have conceded twelve more goals. Now I'm not saying that the rest of the defence played well, but Alcaraz stood out by some distinct margin as being utterly, utterly unfit to wear the shirt.

Their 2nd goal was also due to Coleman not clearing it once it had gone over Alcaraz' head.
Their third goal was also due to Jags heading the ball weakly into the path of their forward.
Their fourth goal was scored by the player Jags was marking who he just allowed to pull of him. Alcaraz couldn't reach it but it wasn't a mistake. Positionally he was marking the cut back to the penalty spot. Jags was marking the guy on the 6 yard box.

So he lost two headers either due to not reading the flight of the ball or being out jumped. Jags was far more responsible for two. Coleman and Baines did nothing to stop their wingers having the freedom to cross all night

I think you are letting the other defenders like Barry, Jags, Coleman and Baines get away with murder. They where just as bad although they weren't helped by a completely hapless midfield.

Relegation would be the only way for him to get sacked

I can imagine us getting relegated and Bobby saying how much of a good learning experience it was for the players and the fans and how competitive the premier league is yada yada yada

He needs to be sacked as soon as the season ends if we want to prevent any further damage being done to our club.

Unfortunately, I still think my domestic violence analogy applies, and we will still have people saying "But they don't know him like I do" despite being beaten on a regular basis, right up until he is eventually sacked in December 2015.

Coleman was covering for Alcaraz, and when baines and Coleman don't have a winger theyare left more exposed.

I suggest you watch the match again mate. Perhaps Mrs. Alcaraz could bring you your supper on a tray so you don't have to leave the sofa.

You mean Alcaraz wasn't covering for Coleman by not getting across quick enough?

There was already a huge hole in the middle and you would want to make it bigger.

We don't know what's happened though. Putting him there could be exactly what he deserves.

Plus the fact he's utter crud these days.
I understand what you're saying but from my point of view Eto and Distin have said something in Jan; hence why Eto left and Distin has dissappeared: If that were the case I wouldn't lame them. Martinez needs his p45 handing to him asap.

Watch the highlights. You said he was directly as in his fault for 3 of the goals.

They where all rubbish. Alcaraz was probably the worst but a part from Barkley and Lukaku they all put in 4/10 performances.

Woaahhhhhhhh... no way in a hundred years was the rest of the defence "as bad" as Alcatraz. He was a different level. Thought Coleman was pretty awful but in part due to playing alongside him like. Think he was directly at fault for a couple- that with different personnel there they would not have scored 2 goals...2! I'm almost certain that with Stones there we'd be in the quarters.

From that mess last night I would only point at these for any credit that was due :-

Barkley
Lukaku
Atsu
Naismith (to a point)
Barkley needs to create more if he's going to be a "top, top player" currently he looks like an average lower league player. He has the potential but he makes too many wrong decisions, he didn't look arsed in the second half yesterday.

Lukaku and Atsu looked good though.
