I will never ever ever understand not playing Stones.

If he's fit enough for the bench he can play.

Howard went straight back in despite Robles playing well. Then why not Stones?

The team was wrong tonight. And it's all just about turned me towards 'out'.

(Although I've not committed to vote yet. I'm sure his after match words will make me commit though).

The stones thing is just baffling, if he isn't fit enough to play he shouldn't be on the bench.

So let me get this right: Martinez gets us to one result from the QFs of the EL and should be sacked?

Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

That's ****ing hilarious.

I'm trying really, really hard to keep supporting Martinez but it's the manner of which we just lost. We should have been commanding that game.

I'll say it again.....tonight is the catalyst for change.

The dross players on the list. Not the Manager.

As embarrassing as it is tonight, and it hurts, sometimes Managers and others associated with a football club, need to be humiliated to realise what is blatantly obvious to most of the in the football community outside that said club.

I prefer a humiliating exit than a 1-0 loss on away goals. IF IT BECOMES THE CATALYST FOR CHANGE.

Hopefully we as a club realise that it is time to move on the rabble.

Painfully most of the dross seem to have been all picked tonight, so hopefully this humiliation marks the beginning of their last 9 weeks in an Everton shirt.

No need to name players. Surely obvious to all.

On to the League it is then...

You're right about us needing to get rid of some dross players. But I'd be interested in who you class as the dross. For my money, the ones which spring to mind have all been brought in by the current manager.

There's no bait being dangled: it's a statement of fact.

Do people really feel getting to the last 16 of the EL and being beaten 6-4 on aggregate is a sacking offence?

Dear me.

Crack on.
No Dave...but I do feel the only way is down...that's not the direction I want us to go mate

I also like that he has his favs regardless of ability. Stones, Gibson and Robles shoved to one side, Alcaraz, Barry and Howard guaranteed their spots. Unforgivable to not change things at half-time.

Anyone who thinks playing alcaraz ahead of stones for our most important match of the season deserves a prison sentence in the same cell as purple aki and then to 've forcibly deported to a Spanish goat herding village
