I'd actually like the poll to be started over now that we are safe*. Can you sort that Mods?

*we always were

No need, folk can change their vote by, err, clicking on "Change Vote".

Unofficially, typing as a person rather than a mod, the polls have been a complete waste of everyone's time. The only people to benefit from them have been the manufacturers and retailers of popcorn

I have it on good authority ( well, some lad who drove past Finch Farm in 2009 ) that the so called socialist pairings of Kay, David and Azul, Chico bought shares in a popcorn factory six weeks ago, have made a killing on the markets and will be voting Tory to minimise their tax bills.

Allegedly.

Polls really did only ever pop up when we were losing. This being able to change your vote thing is a bit of a cop-out, obviously people aren't arsed. We let the Plotters scuttle back under their rocks without any sort of reprimand. Smh.

* scurries under shade of rock, relieved.

So we're super now and Martinez is a legend / all round good fellow / master tactician & etc. Just want to get the party line clear.

Aye, that's it. I was perusing the post-Stoke poll there. It was pretty intense stuff, a few lads didn't cover themselves in glory. I even wavered a little myself, though I still voted IN. I did a bit of vaulting (you may or may not have been subject to some yourself) but I'm waiting for a more opportune moment to strike. Perhaps a cup win, or CL spot next year.

God knows. Once Davek and his sidekick started their quest for martyrdom, I gave up reading any posts about R M so no idea if I was vaulted.

For the very little it's worth I like his approach with the media and his attempt to protect the players. I don't believe he can do much better given the constraints on the purse and the fact that we're not a #1 destination for top players. I don't believe there are very many managers out there who wouldn't be subject to the same constraints.

I get very tired of his team selections and the inane comments which, to me at least, suggest he's a weak man attempting to show he's tough.

I wish him well, but not at the expense of the club ... much like very nearly all of us, I guess. Except those for whom being right on the internet is the most important factor.

I'm fully aware I can change my vote - I'm not doing so though.

To me, he's lucky to still be in his job and I'll keep that view until he shows he can be trusted as the Everton manager, which for me means challenging the top six bare minimum by Christmas.

There's no more polls because...

Poll when we're losing
They only poll when we're losing.

Anyway, it's over now. The battle won.

I'm fairly sure it's because the admin said only one was allowed.

Also, you've won nothing. We're still terrible. The guy is lucky to be in a job. The underperformance this season has been an utter joke on his behalf. Claiming some sort of "internet victory" at this point when we've been utter turd and still ARE turd is ridiculous.

The fact that relegation fears have proven to be so wide of the mark is some small victory. That being said, I think there was only one or two games left to tip the scales for me.

Obviously being right on the internet is not some desirable end-all goal, but I have to imagine that the Post Stoke poll represents the pinnacle of Davek's illustrious career on this forum. He didn't sleep, he didn't let any slight go unanswered. He dodged, he counter-jabbed, put melts down, slapped little bishes and essentially manhandled a mob of bedwetters that outnumbered him hundreds to one. If Martinez does manage to get us back on track, they will say that it was his finest hour.

I cant remember saying anyone in particular won anything.

The debate has been settled. In that sense it's a victory.

Put me as a maybe But under a few condtions
* needs to be more tactically aware next season and learn to mix it up
* Stamp his Authority on the squad ship out the dead wood and trouble makers and reinforce his view with a few signings
* Sort the defence and keeper out for godsakes all great teams are built on a good defensive foundation start there and gib off howard
*PLay thought Lukaku dude is a genuine goal scorer we haven't seen in a couple generations utilising his strengths will bring goals
*top 6 or there abouts by Christmas third season no excuse now
* develop a mean streak ffs most top managers have a cnutish/snidey edge to them they play bad be angry ffs

Loads more people than just me mate. Hundreds kept their heads and kept the debate sensible.

It was an awful time on here though, as you know. Hull, Stoke and Kiev post match reactions were completely embarrassing. Heads need to be hung in shame with some of the rubbish that came out after those defeats.
