I don't care too much which one he plays because they have both been hit and miss this season, but only one should be on the field at a time
That's sort of how I feel at this moment. I'm fast losing faith in Barkley too. Even if the players around him aren't helping you would still expect him to look better. He might just be one of those players that looks the business but isn't consistent.

Again hopefully it's just 2nd season syndrome too.

Loads of factors behind that result today. EL curse again...see Spurs today too (again) and Leicester putting 5 in defence.

We need to let him get the players in he wants to work his system most of all.

Some people are very fickle and/or impatient.
It's not all about systems or tactics mate. It's a much more complicated job than that, as if it wasn't coaches and football theorists would be the best ones to do it. And they're not.

Main problem with Roberto is that he's a poor manager imo. If you look at his man managament, his sickened post match comments, banging about Barkley and Stones becoming best on the world (that's putting a massive pressure on them or getting them complacement), not having enough guts to criticise players and can't properly motivate them, you won't see many positives. I know we don't know everything what's happening in a locker room, but that's the impression I get from watching us this season and watching football for about 15 years.

He's got great footballing brain - no doubt, but he's struggling to manage a group of players at a top level.

I support us as much as the next person (probably more considering I dont agree in booing the players during a game)

I make you ashamed because I call a spade a spade and point out the flaws in our manager which are costing us matches? If you want to wear blue tinted glasses and blindly defend a bad manager then you can but please know that does not make you 'a bigger or better fan' than someone who wants to discuss the problems facing his club.

Its ok when you have a clear agenda, like you do.

I never really post on this forum, just lurk!!!
I have posted now as reading all the posts there are a band of people who want RM out.
I can honestly see were people are coming from and I can understand the frustrations and annoyance at how this season has become a complete nightmare.
RM has a fair amount of explaining to do as at times his teams are not balanced and because of this the style of play is pedestrian. The dropping of Robles was mystifying, and some of the substitutions have been baffling.
Overall RM has had a nightmare of a second season, this has been worsened by some of his rigid ways of thinking and not wanting to move from some of his principles
I guess most people will think my Vote would be RM Out

It isn't

And why I don't want to see him gone, it is because we have a young progressive manager, who I believe wants us to try and play good football.
I think this season will be the hardest he has ever undertaken, the pressure is massive and at times I believe he struggles with these demands.
I do believe he is learning and he is adapting, and he will be better for it next season. He will make changes in the pre-season, we will hopefully see some of the old guard (who have been superb in past seasons) move on, and get players in who then will move us forward again.
RM gave us an expectation this year that I think we all bought into, I think given time he can again get us playing the great football of last season.
If we sack him we may end up going like other teams and sacking managers trying to find the elusive answer...Which in the main doesn't work

I would rather go with the approach of giving a person time to get it right, it usually is the better way
To want RM out after 18mths is laughable, and my feel is the people who want him out never wanted him to start with.

I will be honest I just wan this season over with

1 - Why did you just call me a potato?

2 - I couldn't give a toss about last season - it's now 2015. Football is a "what have you done lately" deal. Not "last week", certainly, as that is far too short term-ist thinking, but for me seeing six months of utter turd is more important than something that happened 18 months prior. Similarly, if he improves and does well over the next six months, I won't be judging him based on the period we're in now.

People and job performances change, you see. But you judge performance on the here and now. Peter Molyneux made Dungeon Keeper in the 90s - he hasn't made a good game since really, so he isn't judged on Dungeon Keeper.

1. Sorry mate...didn't mean to post that...potato is having a mare in this thread.

2. Short sighted interwebs knee jerking. Big picture...he's had a good one and a bad one. We're still in Europe. Not even close to Martinez out IMO.

A manager who has been managing in the top flight for 4/5 years doesn't need learning curve, he's got experience in.

He's weak for dropping Robles, Howard made 2 clangers today, one against young boys and one against chelsea.

He set up with naismith and barkley again, the pair should not be in the same team.

The bottom line is that a point against bottom of the league is not good enough, especially with our season

So you agree that if those that hadn't happened, criticising a manager is acceptable?

So it's not if you criticise a manager at all you're not a proper fan, it's if you criticise a manager without proper cause?

I think everyone agress with that they just disagree with what is proper cause.

But keep on acting superior and calling other blues names cos they don't agree with you. I wish I was as big a blue as you.

That chap was refusing to even give bobby any credit for the good games and brilliant performances in europe.

His last game was Godus which by all accounts is dreadful.

Although I never liked Dungeon Keeper. I preferred Populous
