When he took over from Moyes he corrected two problems which worked amazingly well.

1) He played people in their natural positions. Naismith behind the striker. Ossie in the centre. Barkely in the centre. Strikers up top. Wingers on the wing.

2) He attacked. No more 6-7 defenders on the pitch. Both fullbacks high up the pitch at once. We fielded a positive side. Even when we lost we made a go of it.

He's stopped doing both of these things. That would be fine if he was instead choosing to tighten up the pitch and make us hard to score against. We all know he's not doing that though.

@davek the reason many are picking up on your comments is because your arguing the corner of a man who is proving you wrong.

I admire your loyalty and belief that he will turn it around, the funny thing is we all hope so too. Lets be honest mate, with every game and point that is dropped you will be looking more and more foolish/deluded/silly/*insert here* because the man is failing miserably in the league.

Like i have pointed out many times, i hope bobby proves me wrong, because if he does, then we will be in 15th at the end of the season having won our first trophy in what feels like an eternity, waiting for the CL draw next season.

My head says stick with him, my heart says he isnt suited to this fight.

*insert youtube clip for the above line here*
I'm not wrong though. And it's not foolish to claim that we've had a huge up and now a huge down and that that means - as long as safety is secured - we need to find out in season three what this feller can or cannot achieve.

It's funny, you and others say that all I'm doing is desperately defending the indefensible, when from my viewpoint none of you have come up with a persuasive argument that has us needing to pull the trigger on a manager now who's team still are in pole position to get safe.

I realise you're not part of the hardcore haters on this issue mate, but there's people your identifying with on here who wanted Martinez out last season! That's how nuts they are over unseating the manager.

Anyone claiming that the football played last season wasn't a different class to the muck Moyes served up knows absolutely **** all about football.

There you go again mate, LAST SEASON, last seasonw ill not save us from being relegated THIS SEASON. This season has been worse than any of moyes seasons i can remember, simply because Moyes has the fight to survive, bobby just plods along. Plus bobby has a better squad now than moyes did - we even bought a £28m striker

anyone couddn't see the football played this season was different class to the discipline and good movement under moyes knows absolutely [Poor language removed] all about football too

But it was last season - can you understand that? Nothing lasts forever. Wenger's Arsenal was once unbeaten in the league, so following your logic he could relegate them next season and get away with that. Because last season he was great.

Who cares about last year? We have to look forward, not backward.

Personally i said end of the season as you know, of course some people want him gone now because they are afraid relegation could happen with bobby in charge, there are also some as you pointed out that have never wanted him to begin with. Right now the people who want him out are being proven right *SO FAR*. I will give him another season just to be sure this season was just a fluke. Although my thread did say end of the season, that is because i would rather give the new manager time to rebuild over the summer.

Where's the Pie Charts God dam it, or do they only come out when the sympathisers are winning the poll?

Lose v Newcastle and that's it for me, he has to go. (Apologies if this has already been said).
it was mate and before the WBA and Leicester City games and erm before the Arsenal and Stoke City games, it will also
before the next five or six league games unless he has already gone.

Tell me @davek, did Spurs done a bad thing sacking Ramos when season before he won them a League Cup?

If you'd be employee of the year in your job, does it justify doing absolutely woeful work next year?
