What would Levy do if Spurs produced a season like this one?
What about United if Van Gaal fell 6 places plus short of his league target this season?
or the kopites if Todgers missed top 4 by a country mile - despite his 2nd place last season?

Martinez has massively failed this season, the only reason I'm seeing given for sticking with him is the vague hope that he might be able to get back to what he did last season. Is that a pragmatic view or just plain weak from a business management perspective?

The thought of him dismantling our squad and rebuilding in the summer terrifies me tbh.

Can't believe people still think it would be a knee-jerk reaction to sack him. Knee-jerk would be sacking a manager after 3-4 defeats on the spin.

He's had all season to fix our problems and has done nothing. Everything he does and says suggests he lives in a fantasy world where we're only one game away from his repetitive plan A finally working again.

It won't. And unless he changes, we will keep sliding down the league.

This all over.

My patience is wearing very thin with Martinez but as you said moyes reign was full of ups and downs and you don't get anywhere in football with knee jerk reactions.

If we sack him now, who are we going to bring in?

Surely a record points haul last year can't just be discarded. He's earnt himself another chance because he's got that season in the bank. Give him the summer and the first quarter of next season to try and sort it out and if it's still going the same way then get shut.

If we stay in the premiership and win the europa league then in ten years time the season will be viewed as a success

agree, still think we should hang in there with him....

but i cant understand how he doesnt see that his system/methods/formation is broke and has been for the whole season....

Wonder what the players' mindset is on all this, are they as infuriated as the fans are by getting sent out to play a system they dont believe in?? are they voicing their opinion on it and getting blanked???

it looks like it going to come down to the simple fact that if he doesn't change it up then the results wont change either, there's no evidence to suggest that its going to come good sticking with what he have

My biggest concern is that this summer Mirallas is replaced by Tom Cleverley and we're told what a "diamond" he is, despite Villa fans hating him. That is the sort of signing I expect him to make.

As much as I'm behind him and think he should be given time it's painful to see him make the same mistakes every week without changing it.

Naismith/Barkley on the wing has not worked all season. The last time we played with 2 wingers from the start we won the game (palace)

Howard has had his worst ever season for us and has been costing us goals all year yet Joel was dropped after 3 clean sheets (WBA, palace, Liverpool)

If Roberto can man up and make these changes which all us fans can see for the last 10 games of the season then I think he will win people back over....whether he will do this or not is another matter

So despite the fact that he doesn't know what he's doing you want him to stay.

Why?

Is he going to suddenly be better at seeing the obvious next season?

These polls should be put up at least an hour after the match I think. 10 minutes after the match finishes it's already skewed massively in favour of "get him out" because everyone is annoyed at the game. It was 90/10 shortly after the game and now it's 70/30 after people have had time to think.

Someone's using his unagi.
