'We've got to be careful we don't end up in a 5-4 game, or something'. For our captain and central defender to say that, I just find it completely shocking, and indicative o the fact there is no system out there, and nobody taking reponsibility.
If we don't beat Newcastle, and we keep him, I really think he'll take us down.

He will be sacked mate surely if we get beat. Kentight has to act

Anyway, just hope our next 2 games are romping wins in the EL and league and that I feel less pissy soon

Matty...none of the noises coming out of GOODISON are filling me with any confidence at all, are you the same? I've just read that and I want to come away with a kind of 'Right, brilliant, they sound WELL up for it...'

But I don't.

As long as we are the team with the 5, I would love to see such a match against Barcodes.

It has been way too long since he have had a rip roaring, adrenalaine pumping game at Goodison ;)
 
Good thread this . I've been in the pro bobby camp all season but im beginning to lose confidence in him.I think the decision to reinstate Howard after 1 of the most inept seasons I've ever seen from a goalkeeper makes me seriously doubt his judgement.The game v Newcastle is huge and the wrong result might mean the unthinkable could happen. A lot of people think we'll get the 3 wins and just put this season behind us.well im struggling to share there confidence. Hopefully im very wrong to be so worried

Even if we stay up what will Martinez do different in summer because he is lost now

I feel almost treacherous turning on bobby after last season.Some of those memories will stay with me for a long time and the school of science song is easily the best we've ever had . I'll always be grateful to him for that but hes made some massive errors this season. The comment about style being more important than winning is very worrying as well

Last season was fantastic I agree.
But this season is just a mess and him not changing the tactics is a real worry.
I don't know if its arrogance or he is lost.
 
I think people have intentionally misunderstood Martinez words about style and winning.

This all happends because there is a big change in playing ethos going on. Change is never painless. Rewards will be high in future. Thats my belief.

It's what happens when we're in a bad place: everything is interpreted bleakly and critically...with the aid of the usual suspects turning and twisting any and every remark to use against the manager they've hated for two years, of course.
