A ludicrous and shameful opinion I fully agree, but it's firmly in the minute-minority of the overall opinion. Repeating it is just as ludicrous maybe?Posters last week saying they dont want to win the cup if it means martinez stays...we play to win trophies but they dont want a trophy but want a different manager.
Maybe I'm wrong, however I think the general opinion is that people are pleased that we're in the semi-final and trurly desire cup success.
On the other hand though, they see the cup run as a small fraction of our overall performance this season; one factor in the bigger picture.
When combined, their fears and concerns about our general direction and form over 18months overrides their optimism brought by the cup run.
Personally as stated earlier, I would be delighted if Martinez were to win the FA Cup and would herald him for the success he'd have brought.
Would it be enough to want him in the long term? No I don't think so, as his management of the league and other factors have been appalling.
I look at the bigger picture and it's not rosy and I've nailed my flag to the post; I am happy to stand by those beliefs be if for better or worse.
What others are saying though, is that people like @davek (and maybe yourself) are happy to criticise but less open to answering the hard ones...
What happens if we lose in the semi-final? What do you define as a poor season? What would it take for you to agree Martinez should be sacked?
Less of the theatrics and thinly-veiled skirting around of questions. As @Groucho said, answer the difficult ones and people will be more accepting.
