That's really not happening.

We have a manager with a new contract and he'll be here for the next few seasons.

I know there's a few of you feel this way - that you want the manager sacked, but lads: it isn't happeniong. Not a chance. Do yourselves a favour and drop it. The project you have going is doomed.
Project? Lay off the green mate your paranoia is off the scale

so you agree it falls to the players then

No. It's a mixture of both.

Both the players and the manager worked together to create a team that worked last year and they've both worked together to create a team that doesn't this.

If a manager has no control over a player's form then we shouldn't bother hiring one. Save us a ton on wages.

mate he's a bang average manager who has been given the most funds any manager for us has been given in years, been given one of the best defensive set ups with great young players coming through, [Poor language removed] it he's even had the best TEAM we've had in twenty years and got them into a relegration scrap.

He. is. crap.

so get a new Manager first and keep the duds in the squad that the new Manager will probably replace very quickly anyway?

Today screamed bad management. Never seen such a clear example of it. No player would have done what Mirallas did under Moyes. Because they knew who the boss was. I'm not saying bring him back but we need someone that us actually in control of the team.

No, keep our manager, keep as much as our squad as we want to, reinforce it if possible and get them playing like we know they can. Which is the manager's bloody job and one he isn't doing.

I've always been strongly against sacking martinez this season no matter what happens. I honestly believe he's the man for us and that regime change is just going to make thigns worse.

But pretending that he isn't failing badly at his job right now is wilful blindness.
