The same eleven certainly can't play all four games - and expect to win too. So we do need to rotate.

Barry is suspended for the Premier League games, and Lennon ineligible for the Europa League.

Let's keep Coleman, Stones, Jagielka, McCarthy and Lukaku for the PL games - and spare them the trip to Kiev.

PL games Robles Coleman Stones Jagielka Baines Besic McCarthy Lennon Naismith Mirallas Lukaku

But I think we'll have to send a reserve team to Kiev;

EL games Howard Hibbert? Distin Alcaraz Garbutt Barry Gibson McGeady? Barkley Osman Kone

Comes down to individuals and their fitness levels too. For example, I reckon someone like Coleman has a decent engine on him and can handle at least three of those four fixtures. McCarthy too. And Lukaku for that matter. It also depends on the outcome of these games as we move through them. I mean, if we get a lead without conceding against Kiev and Newcastle are dispatched, that offers a chance to regular first teamers to get a game out there because it'd be a glorious opportunity to go to the last 8.

I do believe though that players like Atsu, McGeady, Kone, Osman etc are going to have to get significant game time - subs on the 55 minute mark etc.

It's a heavy load but a decent opportunity. We are very good in Europe and we play efficiently there.

After a good night's sleep and a 'hard' day's work I'm feeling a bit more confident. I know I voted Martinez out yesterday, but changed my mind. I'll stick with him through the divisions. Martinez in!

Something I'd encourage all others who voted 'out' in the aftermath of that game to do.

There's a 'change your vote' option there lads.

If we finish where we should be finishing then I'll change my vote.

BTW that's top 7 and anything less he has taken us backwards and has to go. This isn't knee-jerk from me as I have been saying it for a while now.

The only reason he shouldn't go is the lack of alternatives

If there was the opportunity to bring in a proven top class manager we should do it - Frank De Boer could be close to that

The only Frank who'd come here is Frank Sidebottom.

De Boer?! He'd piss himself laughing at the thought of going to a club that would get shut of a manager after two seasons having run up a record premier league total.

Do you think so - Southampton has worked out well for Koeman - Everton would be a good opportunity for de Boer

There is uncertainty around Martinez - reasons for keeping him are i) lack of available alternatives ii) giving him the benefit of the doubt for this season

Last season was essentially a Moyes level of performance - reinvigorated by change and a top striker (the main thing Moyes lacked and didn't have the resource to acquire)

This season has been a disaster - it's down to tactics - and lack of confidence - buck stops with the manager there. Yes Martinez is a nice guy but he doesn't have a track record of success at the top level - decisions have to be based on results. His plan A hasn't worked - it's the same plan he used at Wigan - can he come up with a plan B

Now is a pivotal time as we may be on the brink of some key players leaving in the summer - stop the rot

Way to run the club down for no reason... Loads of managers would be interested in managing us. Quality squad, promising youngsters, good training setup, relative job security as long as you don't utterly screw up a la Roberto.

Think the thought process would be fairly simple.

"Why was Roberto sacked? Probably as he managed to achieve the worst season in nearly 90 years up until March I guess. Sounds a good reason to me."

So you would encourage every single person that went against your opinion to change their mind?

Just for that nonsense i'm voting yes again.

I have seen nothing from Martinez over the past 5 years that can convince me he'll get it right. The system he uses is broken, the tactic is defunct yet he persists with it as if oblivious to its failure. That's not the type of man I want at the helm Everton.

No, it's not. That's what any decent manager with options would think if Everton fired Martinez. They wouldn't touch Everton with a sh1tty stick. We;'d end up with someone like Eddie Howe...or worse.

The worst of all this is, that even the dithering one sometimes got the players in at half time and you could see they have had a rollicking of him.... Bobby just seems to tickle them, and they come back out in the 2nd half looking bored and fed up with the whole thing.

So what now exactly? Every game that goes by does the manager have to come out and remind of how many games are left? or how many points we have to play for ??? Guess what Bobby.... we know our 3 times table!!!

Why?

Man Utd sacked Moyes after less than a year - that didn't put off Van Gaal
Then there's Villas Boas at Chelsea, Spurs have had a raft of managers

Not saying I agree with the hire and fire principle - but if something's not working change it - Villas Boas and Moyes sackings vindicated that

Everton sacking Martinez after 1.5 years I don't think would generate the reaction that your suggesting - based on evidence from elsewhere. It's the nature of the game
