Getting Mourinho could be a master stroke but we would have to understand that he is a short term high gain manager. If he could get us a trophy and into Europe though then a more long term manager could be found.

@Pootsy do you genuinely believe we would be able to tempt Mourinho? I've heard numerous people tout his name and I just see it as unrealistic.

Regardless of what we may all believe with our blue tinted glasses, but we're not a Porto, Inter, Real or even (said with a heavy heart) a Chelsea.

That's based on our current status and the money available at the club. He wants CL and quick success; and he uses big money to achieve that.

Now some people may say that he wants to be stay domestically which has influenced his decisions, but he's even recently turned down Roma!

Could we tempt the likes of Ancelotti, Simeone or Pep? Nope and I put José in that bracket. I doubt we'd even tempt a Pellegrini, Mancini or Emery.

If we do ever relinquish Martinez of his job then I doubt we'll be looking at managers in such highly thought of brackets.

I think a few of the people moaning about what they demand or expect from Everton need to be a bit more realistic and also realise why they're called supporters. Their job is to get behind the team or even just enjoy watching them, it is not to demand this or demand that from the club, that is a bit silly really and comes across in a bad light. We all want to be winning stuff but I don't think chopping and changing the Managers whilst we're still in a healthy position is a winning recipe for a club like us that can't compete on financial terms with most of the top clubs. Everton are not here to meet your personal demands , you are here to support them.
