Martin O'Neill

It ain't often that I have such a sense of certainty when matters turn to Everton, but I do not want O'Neil under any circumstances. I lived in the Midlands for many years and got to know quite a few Villa folk, including becoming mates with the guy who ran their media/communications when O'Neil left. He told me that O'Neil chucked his toys when Lerner stopped spending and told him to reduce the wage bill, the final straw was letting Milner go and out of spite O'Neil timed his resignation to cause maximum damage to the club, waiting for Mark Hughes to accept a job elsewhere (Fulham from memory) before walking a few weeks into the season.

I think he's a phoney, always trying to pass himself off as an intellectual who is slightly out of place in football but deigns to work in the game, a bit like Ken Barlow in Corro. Hate them both.

He is far better than your Dyke, Allarydace, Koeman and Unsworth who is still inexperienced
His track record except for his last year with sunderland is above average
He surely would not have bought any of the unplayable players we now have

Keene however should not join him

Yep he’s a clueless little rat

Seamus announced as club captain at the same time to sweeten the fans.

Kenwright, that.

Whatever manager comes in i would hope that one of the first things they do is promote up Coleman to the club captain, one of the few that not only gets the club, but has the right mentality and the level of ability that can carry that role well

Yes he was just a spendthrift chucking money all over the place only to be told that's enough.....cue tantrum.
