Marriner

Recently I've had no problem with some of the matches that Clatteberg has reffed when we were playing, in fact I don't really mind him anymore. Mariner and Atkinson always terrify me. There is no rhyme or reason for what they do.

Criticising the ref excuses the fact we were utter wank. Even with the refs poor performance we can hardly claim to be robbed because we didn't do enough. The game was there for the taking regardless of the ref and we didn't take it.

I haven't seen anyone claiming we were robbed, just pointing out we wouldn't have lost if the pen had not been given. The poor performance is irrelevant in that context.

We were robbed in that we lost to a dubious penalty and the opposition should have been down to nine men. Our performance aside, any team would struggle to overcome that against the reigning champions away from home.

But we could have done. Even despite the dodgy decisions, that game was there for the taking still and we were pedestrian.

Never a pen and should have been at least 1 red.

Oh, and phenomenal.
Cheers. It does my head in the way our players and manager just accept poor decisions. Most teams would have surrounded the ref and demanded a red card for that kick into eto'os back.
