Why wouldn't he? I really don't understand this line that people keep using, as if being a back up keeper is a totally novel idea that nobody's ever done before. He's not come here expecting to oust Pickford, he's always been a 2nd choice at the top level, there's no reason to think he won't be happy to do that for the foreseeable. Yes going on that game he looks like a good goalkeeper but where is his ambition— 26 years of age you’d think he’d want to play regular first team football, doubt if he’ll get much of that at Everton.
