Hard to get too excited about a back-up GK but by spending £4m on one,.. I’d hope it shows we have pretty decent funds to spend on our priority positions too.

I've seen no evidence of it but let's hope that the recruitment team is capable of working on more than one transfer at a time.

£4m on a back up keeper does seem an odd one when there's usually a load of that type floating round on a free. Hopefully it's a sign of an increased budget rather than a strange use of what we've got to play with.
