Hibbert = slow, bad on the ball, bad passer, gets nose bleed over the halfway line.

Jacobsen = Fairly rapid, good on the ball, has an eye for a pass, and can run the wing quite well. (i have watched him a few times in Internationals)

Like Hibbo, but I feel his time is up.

We should not let Castillo & Jacobsen leave . Valente ive never rated . Jo is garbage and VDM ? Never given the chance he deserved . All I can say is that Hibbert has defo got something on Moyes .

Castillo will definitely leave, he's not good enough and he wouldn't offer our midfield anything.

Jacobsen is 50/50, could go either way really. Valente and Van der Meyde are obviously going to leave.

I stand by what I said though, we should be looking to improve on what we've got. Not just get rid of everything.

Outline your defence of Hibbert and ill strip it to bits my friend
Let's roll bitch

Lets start with his defending - I can't name a player who is better defensively that Hibbert. He is pacey, and got a great tackle on him. Yes, Ashley Young took the piss out of him, but at the end of the day, if he's diving all over the show, you wouldn't play your normal hard tackling game, as you know you risk a card.

Distribution - Admittedly, not the best. Last season, numerous times a game, he would play that silly little 'dink' over the midfield and down to the touch line. This season, he plays the simple ball. Neville comes for it, and we keep the ball. Can't complain with that.

Crossing - Not the best again, but he can put in a decent ball now and again.

All round game - Improved by 100% from last season.

Jacobsen - You tell me what makes him a better play than Hibbert, from what you have seen of him in the Premier League.

Oh wait, you can't.

Hibbert is by far our best choice right back. His heart's in the game, he knows what it means to all blues when we go to Wembley.

To start Jacobsen over him would be down right ludicrous.

I have had this argument plenty a time. Hibbert IS NOT SLOW!

The only players who have done him for speed, are Agbonlahor and Young, who in all fairness would burn any right back off in the League.

With the ball at his feet HE IS SLOW (I bought a caps button also)

I respect your opinions I really do but I cannot agree . Hibbert to me and many others I might add is simply not good enough for where we are going . You say he only had one bad game against Villa
What about City at home ? What about Arsenal away ? what about Spurs away ? I could go on and on and on . He is s***e .

When he goes to make a forward pass which is extremely rare You simply have no idea where its going and so by the way do the team themselves . Dont start me on his crossing .

I am clueless about many things but not on my assessment of Hibbert

Clueless maybe abit harsh, but based on this season he should be right back.

This season i feel his attacking has much improved, and he is getting balls in the box.

Just imagine how much difference it would make to our team if we had someone who was actually good at right back. That's all you have to think about really.

Neville did a great job there imo, but he is vital in the midfield now...

...Our main priority is Right Wing, then probably Right Back and maybe a striker.

If we had a right like our left we would be challenging the top 4.

Hibbert just doesn't cut it. In this day and age you need a right-back who will be an important part of the offensive scheme and who is able to provide width for his team. You see the difference that Baines has made this season? We need someone who can do that on the right.
