Isn't he off to arsenal? As much as I'd like to believe we could attract this kind of player, I don't think we can, which is a shame.

Arsenal won't pay what we want, all those rumours stemmed from his agent being at an Arsenal game. Then all the click bate morons jump on it and whip it up to be something it's not. I've noticed Arsenal seem to have perhaps the weirdest bunch of fans I've ever come across, they all seem utterly mental.

I'm sure our social media account is trolling arsenal as they keep posting happy Mahrez pictures every day.

They are a weird bunch mate for sure! Still nobody is as bad as our loveable neighbours though.

What the feeling in your fanbase? Do you foresee anyone else big leaving other Kante?

All I know - & I know sweet fanny adams - is that we dropped our interest in Schmeichel (sp?) as a condition of signing Steve Walsh.
I would hazard a guess that we are being used again as a stalking horse to either flush out a serious bidder from a CL club (eg Arsenal) or to get a better deal.

Oh the joys of being an Everton fan

arsenal fans ive met always seem to be fairly okay

as opposed to Chelsea fans who are kopites in blue who all think they're mental

Depends who if anyone puts an offer in for Mahrez, he's very happy here and not actively trying to get a move right now. But if Barca or Real bid then he'll be gone. If anyone, I'm worried about Man City, they are the sort of team that will chuck money at it and Mahrez loves Barca, so playing under Pep would definitely make him want to move.

There's no release clause like Kante though, so anyone who wants him is going to have to pay market value... which this summer is going to be north of £45/50m.

Arsenal seem shambolic in the market, so I think we'd see them off purely because I doubt they would go above £35m.

Fair play mate I hope you lads have a proper crack at it next season and don't lose your best players (unless it means us getting Mahrez of course)
