Jesus Christ, you start of by saying trust the gaffer then moan about every aspect of the Deal and Rojo.

plus tbh i dont "trust the gaffer" has to be earnt surely, ill get behind the team and that like but i cant blindly follow its just not in my nature

i also dont get the point of following football if your not willing to have an opinion on it

"ive watched him and hes never impressed me but the manager does so i must be wrong" seems a dead weird mentality to me

The more I read from Utd fans on Twitter the more i'm warming to him. They like him much more than Smalling and Jones and a lot are actually sorry to see him go. Nowhere near worth 25-30m (esp considering I think he's entering final year of contract) but anything under £20m would be an OK deal I think and an upgrade on what we already have.

Correct, also i wouldn't trust Silva he is a King Ratsnake.

If he's entering the last year of his contract we shouldn't be paying more than 15m, did we learn nothing from the Michael Keane disaster!

I beg to differ mate . If silva would have managed for one year and we knew the formation and kind of players he needs to suit his playing style , agreed we could have judged players . But how can u say rojo wont be good enuf for silva when silva hasnt managed us yet . So in this context i am saying trust the gaffer because he must be having some tactics for this everton team in mind . See for example , di maria flopped in manyoo . He was good at real but under lvg , he just didnot fit . Same for persie under fergie and persie under moyes the very next season . Different managers use players differently . In that context i am saying , in his first window let us trust silva and then judge him and his signings by dec once we see what he is trying to execute. All brands needs to ensure is we dont pay over the odds for the targets identified by silva

A bit concern about his injury record. He is 28 as long as the fee is below £20m I think it’s ok. We got Williams and Jagielka don’t forget. And Mina can wait for Man Utd.

Silva is managing a team with just one player that he has signed... so far.
We can hardly judge him as a manager with a squad he inherited and roughly four weeks working with them.

Our team has a weakness at centre back and centre midfield in particular, but more than anything else the team seems to lack leaders.

Rojo seems to be a bit of a head case at times but he seems to be a leader and for me that is a huge plus.
Ironically, the other player that I think is a leader although he was septic last season is Ashley Williams.

Signed a new deal recently. Runs to 2022.

I will be disappointed if the only centre-back we get in is Rojo. Then again, I'll be disappointed if it's just Mina as well.

I don't think Rojo is brilliant. He is better than what we have, yes, but that isn't exactly hard.

However, he suits playing in a high line more than Mina, or any of our CBs currently, bar Holgate.

'kin ell. If this is the best we have to come up with after Silva and Brands have known they were taking these jobs of theirs on for months and months then they need firing now.

Unbelievable we'd go for headless chicken thugs like this.

hes had two managers at united and cant get in over smalling and jones. Silva might prove to be a good manager but doubt hes a miracle worker

Any suggestion (CB)? Like who.

He's left footed and can pass from the back i did mention when we sold Mori for peanuts it won't be easy to find a replacement im not too sure if this is a huge step up from him tbh but we do need a left sided defender this window they're hard to find

Amazing really that we lack leaders. Last season we had 5 players who have captained their countries and another (Klaassen) who captained his previous club to a European final.
