As I think has been suggested it feels like the leaks have been from the United end, quite possibly to force Wolves hand on the issue.

I cannot believe we would be looking to pay 20 million+ for a lad who had his injury record and wage demands. With the nicest will in the world, United are also pretty desperate on this issue as he is 5th choice and maybe 6th choice if they get a new player in and a bit of a drain. We obviously shouldn't be whacking a huge fee on him, but I wouldn't be aversed to a loan deal.

Yes. Funes Mori wasn't that good was he, but he became our best or maybe 2nd best centre back (after Holgate perhaps) whilst out injured!
Seeing what went on last season and also this pre-season I think you're right.

So we're in the hunt for a cb, the deal were trying to do is dragging on. Now all of a sudden were after the complete opposite of the type of player brands is supposed to be bringing in. Old, constantly injured and on massive wages. Sounds legit to me.

Personally don't understand why were not all over this news on deal tbh.

Joyce article seems to suggest its one of him or Mina though, rather than both which is a shame.

Only my view but I'd say he's a bit better than Funes Mori. Thats not saying much though really. And the price should reflect that. Talk of £30m is ridiculous.
If he came in alongside another ('better') centre back I wouldn't mind. Don't want him as our only CB signing though.

I dont mind rojo links as long as it is financially not a disaster , but i wonder why r we not using brands dutch links to find a new cb . From deligt to others .. why r we still chasing pl players after signing a transfer guru with insight into other leagues

But only for about half the season, point is he doesn't seem to be brands type of signing and for £30m. You expect us to pay around £60m+ for two new center backs?

I can't believe Wolves want him tho, he really isnt good enough for them, a club would only buy this idiot if they have too much money and no idea what to do with it and crap scouting, basically us last summer.

This lad just posted the Rojo stuff. I would have believed in him if he posted that before all these papers.

I would also give him more credence if he hadn't suggested Rojo worked successfully with Silva before. He was transferred out within a few weeks of Silva arriving at the end of the 2013/14 season.

Seriously, If this is true and at £30m, my season tickets are going back. I can’t support this wreckless outlay of the last 2 summers.

He obviously has some ability for Wolves to want to be in for him. I think it looks a bit of a panic buy to me, in part because we've had controls placed upon on our DOF that have given him too little time to do the business necessary.

Not sure what people think Brands’ style of transfer is.

He’s never had this money to splurge before, and we’re getting desperate, again.

Similar to Walsh who never had this type of money before.
