You might be correct, he has a lot to prove still but he earned the first couple of months with his end of season performances, we've only lost one game, I think you should just wait a bit, we haven't even found any form yet.

Just dont rate him mate - its all well and good winning dead rubber games at the seasons end but as soon as theirs pressure/competition we fall to pieces same as against Villa.

Willing to give him time but all pre season we looked awful and 3 games gone we have been bang average against God awful opposition.

At some point the elephant in the room (200 million spent in two seasons) has to be questioned where is the improvement in the overall play/direction of the team.

I don't think I've ever seen us good in preseason mate. It means nothing.

Plenty of teams dropping points early season, we don't have a divine right to beat villa. They did us fair and square and on another day we would have probably bagged and won.

We have improved, end of last season proved that.

As an Evertonian are you not used to slow starts, it's not just on Marco, we don't turn up till after christmas most seasons, we were known for it under Moyes. I don't think the club takes pre season seriously enough and that's not a new thing.

I’m assuming everyone’s very happy with that side today.

He knows the score and he’s not afraid to make the big decisions when the time is right.

The big decision would've been to rightly drop sigurdsson tbh. We'll see through out the season if he's got the balls to drop the big players when they're out of form, he's at least got a few options now

He scored Wednesday...he done more than enough to retain his place in midweek and that’s what you have to reward him for.

I think Bernard was starting today but Sigurdsson, Iwobi and Richarlison doing well on Wednesday, when they all scored, made it impossible to drop any of them today and nor should he of.

The brave decision would have been to drop Gomes but then you have to allow players time to come into form or show a bit of loyalty to players who’ve served you so well previously and who you’ll be relying on in the future.
