2019/20 Marco Silva

He picked those players I've bolded. Even if Iwobi had scored it still does not exuse the poor pre-season, poor performances in the first two games and the shambles that was last night. Villa were very cautious the first 20 minutes and gave us too much respect. As soon as they started to get stuck in, particularly in the midfield area, we fell to pieces both tactically and mentally. For me this is on Marco.
Don’t agree, villa got confident and ‘stuck in’ as soon as they realised we were toothless up front. And that no balls were being played behind their defence, enabling said defence to push up and help overrun us in midfield

So surely the fact that we were toothless up front and the fact that we couldn't get behind their defence, also the fact that we were overrun in midfield is purely poor tactics and down to Marco?

Brighton put three past Watford, West Ham, still playing, have put three past Watford.

We struggled like anything.

Silva needs to get Iwobi and Kean up to fitness and in the first team ASAP.

Alarm bells are ringing and have been since pre-season.

Palace on the verge of beating Man Utd and OT and beat Man City last season at the Etihad.

We can’t even get wins at newly promoted teams.

Is there something fundamentally wrong at this club?

We couldn’t score v Palace, United at present haven’t scored past Palace, despite having a golden chance to do so

Spurs took 73 minutes to score past Villa, Bournemouth got dominated by them for 78 minutes after going two up

What point am I trying to make you may ask? Not every game is the same, some teams struggle to break opposition down or finish teams off comfortably

Koeman had no interest if im honest mate and for me him and Walsh just had no connection and it showed in the signings.

For what its worth I think Koeman would have done alot better with Brands signings than Silva has done considering how he got a tune with Southampton.

He was a mini-Mourinho. Dictator. Stern. Bought premiership ready players for lots of money. Was here for 3 years then gone. Didn't like his way? You're gone.

Problem was...he's not Mourinho. He did have a connection with Walsh. Siggy, Klassen, Keane, Bolasie were all Koeman.

We’ve struggled against EVERY team we have played this season.
