I will say that sacking Silva is a pointless exercise if his replacement turns out no better, but the point has been reached where keeping him on just seems stubborn and with no basis in the facts.

I do hope they have been preparing for this contingency because we need something fresh now.

The cup game isn't of huge significance to me whilst we do so poorly in the league.

Things have come to a head and we need decisiveness now.
