Has to be proper credentials though. Not just meaningless premier league experience. And that means an elite manager, and I don't see us attracting one.

Where is this top manager going to come from and what credentials are we actually talking about? People keep saying we need experience. But where has that ever got us?

For me we could pull approx 95% of Europa league managers, People like Emery of that sort , We have money to spend and most managers would jump to manage in the PL clearly we aren't searching too deep for these people.

Ive also spent the last few days looking at cash spent by teams.

We all have this impression that we have proper spent the dough the last few years and we have compared to what went before, but so has almost every team in the league.

We have spent just over 80m in 3 transfer windows, imagine Joses face when you told him he would have 30m every window, which after you take away his 15m a year in wages would be 15m every window.

Then once the stadium loans kick in would be around 5m a window.

If it is Silva or Arteta, I would persist with Silva for the moment.

Arteta has not managed a team through one game never mind a season.
We appoint him and he flops, we are even further out of pocket and in a bigger hole in the league.
He does well , we are training him up for City with two or three seasons.

Nothing and I mean nothing surprises me in this absolute loony tunes of a league the Premier league has turned into.

He did actually quote he would consider a club not in the very top bracket as long as its a good club with a project a while ago.

Think if it was China he'd be there already , PSG wont be sacking Tuchel anytime soon , yesterday he ruled out Italy.

People wanting Silva our and Arteta in? Has relegation written all over it. Big Sam would be back in post once Arteta had fully botched us over the Christmas period. Imagine him asking Schneiderlin to just do what De Bruyne does or tell DCL to create something out of nothing like Aguero used to. It would be laughable.
