It is frankly laughable how people seem more excited to get unproven foreign managers in, and swoon over their looks, rather than go for a solid appointment who can build up the team slowly and steadily.

well that,s because of the manager selection made by the club....

The club couldnt pick a manager that pleases everybody, when will people realise this, they wont pick the manager you want, they wont pick the manager I want.

Its a thankless task.

All they can do is appoint somebody and pray.

If it doesnt work out, so what, we just sack em and start again, I mean it hasnt worked for the last 23 years, so does it even matter at this point.

I'm not sure how I feel about a manager whose side managed to lose to us
Man City, managed by Pep Guardiola, lost to us too last season. Just saying.

Hey, not all British managers are fugly. Have you SEEN Eddie Howe?

totally, watch how Sam gets the blame when we are in the relegation zone in October. 'He drilled a negative mentality into the players mindset' or some such BS.
Need to see what the fixture list brings first. If the start is as hard as last year we could well be in the relegation zone come October as the players get used to a different style of playing. Otherwise I'd be very surprised if we were in trouble. Also need to see what happens in the summer and what players we manage to bring in and offload.

But unless we had another horrendous start fixture wise, and a bad run of injuries to key players, I don't expect us to be anywhere near the bottom come October. Even if we were I wouldn't be blaming Allardyce.
