The PL will want a negotiated settlement but if Watford believe they will get a few million come what may, they don’t have to be in any rush to conclude an agreement, and can act with pure spite.

The earlier the settlement, the more we pay. It’s not ideal but obviously they’ll agree terms, just a case of when though.

The reality is we can't unsettle another club's manager to the point of getting them sacked then pick him up on a free 6 months later. It was never going to happen.
