Ronald Koeman was the guy who had the presence and was supposed to move us on. Where did that get us to? We need a young hungry manager who really wants the job, not just for the money and wants to take us on. Something like the 2002 version of David Moyes. That could be Marco Silva.

We won't be able to grab a manager from a big money club because those managers want big money to spend. We can only compete for managers that have done fairly well with limited resources. Simone to me is more proven considering his lower budget than others. Howe and Silva will be the type of managers we can go for unless we can provide a top manager with basically unlimited cash which I doubt we can. Just look at Jose M and the amount of money he is splashing on players just to try and get top 4. Pepe might have a great tactical system but each club he has had has allowed him to buy the best players. Zidane ???? who knows I mean Real Madrid and the class players he took over.

It is difficult to judge on managers and you do have to take into consideration budgets and that's why Howe and Silva would be the sort of manager we will be looking at.

The wage would turn a few heads but the top of the list managers do not want a difficult job of rebuilding they want it easy and go to another top team were money is no object. We may have spent £200m but what is the net spend. Still think it will be a Howe/Silva type of manager. We have to strike lucky and get a man in like Poch but he was also a gamble initially.
