Marco Silva

I posted this on the basis that our owner wanted him ahead of Allardyce and was prepared to pay a lot of money for him. He’s now available for free and must be preferable to most of us than SAM.

Shown himself to be a charlatan. The way he lost his head and his players after being linked here showed us all the character of the man. Ended with a 30.8% win percentage at Watford (Koeman 41.38%, Martinez 42.7%) and should be looking at the Leeds job as a way to build his reputation back up.

You are right of course but I think we may have trouble poaching managers from any decent teams.

Sams on more the Emry (PSG), Simeone (Athletico Madrid) and Zidane (Real Madrid), with that amount of cash being thrown at you it’ll turn some heads regardless

Marco Silva, Eddie Howe and all these jarg shouts need to go in the bin. If he’s ambitious he’ll make a play for a big boy once that fat sack of manure is out out to pasture

So we pay Sam off now and appoint Silva. We then sack Silva in the summer when things haven't got any better. Then go and pay for another one. Great plan.

The problem isn't the mangers we keep throwing at it. It's the players and no manager has a chance with this squad.

Sam woudnt Get us playing any other way with messi in our team. So I can’t quite agree a good manager would be able to work with this squad. ( most ) of it

If moshiri is ambitious I’m sure we can go abroad and get someone good. Money money money

Totally hear you both and to a point I agree. But while these managers are at these big clubs we will struggle to make them swap, perhaps once they are unemployed we could make a move, but even then we failed to get or even interview Ancelotti. With any luck the Simeone link has some legs to it.

It’s a big summer this and we have to make it right that’s why we need to go abroad for our manager

I personally think someone like Fonseca, Mancini could definitely be tempted, possibly Tuchel. The Simeone thing is never happening, regardless of his wage, it’d have to be a full in Man City purchase for that to happen. Think he’s got inter on written on his next move anyway

There are definitely a better pedigree of coaches who’d come though, more than Silva, Howe, Dyche etc
