Marco Silva

People are going on about what a great job Marco Silva did with Hull. The fact that he very nearly kept up one of the worst squads in Premier League history was impressive, as was his feat of guiding Hull to victory over Man Utd in the first leg of the League Cup semi-final. Others have mentioned how well Silva did to guide Sporting to their first major trophy in seven years.

However, for me it's his record at Olympiacos that's most impressive. Under his stewardship they won their first SEVENTEEN domestic matches of the 2015/16 season, eventually winning the Greek title (Superleague Greece) with ease. They also trounced Arsenal in the Champions League.

Cracking young manager. Don't think we'll get him though.

I think we'll get him. Just an inkling.

Welcome mate.

I keep reading this "our owners are very clued up, very clever" and the media or us Everton fans under estimate them etc etc

But from the outside looking in I think anyone who looks at Watford just thinks your manager turnover means no one really ever takes you seriously and you seem to turnover a hell of a lot of players as well.

I just don't see what Watford fans keep saying. Maybe because I'm not arsed about Watford I haven't taken enough notice of what they do or don't do.
You are spot on. No one takes notice of another club do they. The manager stats are correct but believe me do not tell the whole story. What I do know is we were hours from being put into administration. The Pozzo's took over and because they were clued up used the loan system to move us on. It is funny watching knowing our owners will not let him go.

Odds on means nothing, certainly not 8/11, Big Sam was 1/7 at 1 point, the fact that they are even still offering odds indicates to me that its not even close, but that of course can change in seconds.

I mean its off, till its on.
I accept that but the next lowest odds is Unsworth at 5/1. Not really a betting person but is it right that ten games counts as permanent which I think means they’d pay out if Unsworth is still in charge by the Cyprus game. That seems too good for them not to be sure that won’t happen!

Clearly not very well clued if they are rejecting 10/15 mil for an unproven manager you have had 3 months that no longer wants to be there by the looks of it.

Why would they throw 10/15m down the toilet and put him on gardening leave? You’re not Man City you don’t have the capacity to do it that.
Of course we do.For starters we blew £18,000,000 on Andre Gray if we did that do you seriously think we would take 15 for Silva. Times have changed as crazy as it seems £15,000,000 is nothing now. We are paying Deeney 5 million a year so 15 for Silva is not going to work is it.

Not sure on that, would have to read the terms and conditions, but I doubt thats the case, personally.
